Toshiba 40XV645U Features
- 1080p FULL HD
1080p Full HD models display virtually all 2,073,600 pixels from a 1080p HD signal, creating the highest level of HD picture quality available today. In comparison, 720p HD models must reduce the 1080 signal resolution to match the lower display resolution, discarding nearly half of the original pixels.
120Hz ClearFrame Anti-Blur Technology
To avoid possible motion blur with fast motion video, all of our 120Hz TV models feature ClearFrame 120Hz, which doubles the frame rate of standard LCD from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second using superior Motion Vector Frame Interpolation technology. This advanced system virtually eliminates motion blur. We also added five-five Pull-Down Film Mode for those who prefer a more film-like experience.
Resolution+
Resolution+ super resolution technology brings images to life with complex image enhancement. Resolution+ is a highly-regarded technology that overcomes an industry-wide issue of lower picture quality when watching less than Full HD sources. Using a proprietary processing system, Resolution+ upconverts and enhances 480i, 480p and even 720p image detail for enhanced video quality when watching DVDs, standard definition TV channels, camcorder videos or even video games that output less than Full HD.Not just simple scaling, Resolution+ uses complex image correction to enhance the detail of each image, making everything feel like HD. Thanks to Toshiba’s revolutionary technology, Resolution+ will bring a whole new HD viewing experience to your home.
Pixel Pure 5G 14Bit Internal Digital Video Processing
The success of REGZA Toshiba’s Premium LCD HDTV starts with the high picture quality generated from its powerful REGZA engine. The processing power of Toshiba’s fifth generation engine, PixelPure 5G, is the heart of every REGZA. With a 14-bit internal digital video processor PixelPure 5G creates 4,096 levels of graduation (16x that of a standard 8-bit processor) creating smoother, cleaner, more natural images. Ongoing enhancement, 2D Luma enhancement, dynamic sharpness and adaptive noise reduction means PixelPure continues to lead in processing Power and technology.
AutoView
Toshiba’s enhanced AutoView feature helps ensure an ideal image at all times of the day. By combining an ambient room light sensor and incoming video content monitoring, AutoView automatically sets most of the TV picture parameters for you. You don’t have to worry about a picture that isn’t set bright enough for the afternoon sunlight or eye strain from an overly bright TV in a darkened room.
DynaLight Dynamic Backlight Control
DynaLight Dynamic Backlight Control utilizes advanced histogram image processing to monitor the brightness levels of each video frame and automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content. This precise signal analysis allows for 256 levels of backlight control and can create a Dynamic Contrast that is 7 to 10 times that of the original panel contrast. The result is a powerful picture with deep blacks for increased detail and incredible depth.
Native Mode
Native Mode displays the 3% to 5% of the image that is generally lost during the normal over-scanning that is done in most TVs. On 1080p models, it also eliminates unnecessary scaling of Full HD signals that can reduce overall image resolution and therefore picture quality.Toshiba BDX2000 Features
