Zoom 5590X6 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router

Zoom 5590X6 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router
The Zoom 5590X6 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router provides an extensive range of networking and Internet access features in a surprisingly affordable product. Advanced security features protect sensitive data in the home or office. You’ll appreciate the superior range of the Zoom 5590X6 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router transmissions and the easy setup and management. And with ADSL2/2+ compliance, the Zoom 5590X6 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router works with both older ADSL protocols and the new generation of higher-speed Internet connections.

The 802.11g Wireless Access Point provides easy network installation and freedom to roam. With Zoom 125 Speed Booster, wireless data rates can reach 125 Mbps. The Model 5590 also provides complete compatibility with 802.11g from other manufacturers operating at 54 Mbps and compatibility with the older 802.11b standard operating at 11 Mbps. Unlike other wireless access points, the X6 can support concurrent connections to both 802.11(b) and (g) devices without compromising the data rate of the higher speed devices.

With competing products, an 802.11b device on an 802.11g network can bring the performance of the entire wireless network down to the slower 802.11b speed. The Model 5590 is equipped with Prism™ Nitro Mode technology to minimize collision problem created with a mixed network of 802.11b and 802.11g devices and maximize network performance.

Wireless security includes the newer Wi-Fi Protected Access(WPA) protocol as well as Wired Equivalency Protection (WEP).
